Imported in 2006, Black Tie is just beginning his career. He stood to his first book of mares in 06, as well he found his niche as a hunter. His diversified pedigree may find appeal to a variety of mares, as well a variety of disciplines. He is an excellent contributor to the ever growing, and popular “B” line, and we are looking forward to his first foal crop. |
History/Performance: Black Tie is currently in training with rider Mark Stopford of Hardford Farm and is making his debut in Ocala (HITS) in 2007. He had great success at his first rated show in Raleigh, NC and we are eager to follow his progress.
Breeding Record: We are expecting 2 BT foals this year.

Origin:
Descending from the famous Bolero line, Black Tie is sired by the young son of Bergamon, Baroncelli. Standing at Hengststation Ingo Pape, and ridden by Susan Draper, Baroncelli is merely scratching the surface as a young hopeful. He began winning at foal shows, then was licensing champion at the 2000 Verden approvals. The following year he was also the winner of his performance test at Munster-Handorf with a dressage index of 135.9 and an overall of 129.76. In 2002 the Hanoverian Verband proclaimed Baroncelli “best stallion of the year,” an award never distinguished to a privately owned stallion! He was Vice Bundeschampionate in Warendorf, and 4th at the 2004 World Championships for young dressage horses. He is now successfully competing at Intermediare I and consistently in the ribbons.
Black Tie’s dam, SPS Regina is in the German jumping program and descends from the famous Ramiro line. Regina’s sire Raphael was outstanding in his ability to produce offspring strong in multiple disciplines, and these offspring often drew high prices at the Vechta and Verden auctions. Top international riders value his offspring including Ramina/Gerd Wiltfang, Ricci/Ludger Beeerbaum, Rockefeller/Andreas Krieg, Raphaelo/Iver Bornsen, and Robinson FRH/Ludger Beerbaum. Raphael also produced the approved stallions Ravallo, Ragazzo and the famous Radiator ridden by Rene Tebbel. Radiator is currently one of the most successful stallions in international showjumping (winner of Grand Prix and World Cup showjumping events).
